Would you like to learn about financial market data and help improve data quality as a graduate Market Data Analyst?

Summary

As a graduate Market Data Analyst at Rabobank, you will learn how financial market data supports decisions, calculations and valuations across the bank. You will join the international Market Data Distribution Services team, working at the intersection of finance, data and IT. You will deliver reliable market data, improve data processes and support the transition to a new enterprise market data management system.

What will you learn and do as a graduate Market Data Analyst?

• Deliver accurate and timely market data for processes such as market risk calculations, balance sheet management and derivatives valuation.

• Manage historical market data and check its quality against data governance standards.

• Translate the needs of internal customers into clear and actionable items for the development team.

• Help create automated and efficient data flows in collaboration with developers.

• Support the migration from the current data warehouse to a new enterprise market data management system.

You will learn how financial market data is managed for onshore and offshore markets. This is a business-focused role between finance, data and IT. It is not a full-time software development role.

Is this role suitable if I have little work experience?

Yes. This is a junior role for recent graduates and people with limited professional experience. Relevant experience from your studies, projects, an internship, a traineeship or a first role is welcome.

What will I learn and do?

You will learn how market data is distributed, checked and used within a bank. You will also contribute to data quality, automated data flows and the migration to a new market data management platform.

What guidance will I receive?

You will work with experienced colleagues in the Market Data Distribution Services team and collaborate with developers and finance specialists. Further details about your day-to-day supervision are to be confirmed.

Which skills or tools will I develop?

You will develop skills in financial market data, data governance, problem-solving, process improvement and working between business and IT. Depending on your assignments, you may also work with Bloomberg, Reuters, Python, SQL or VBA.

Can I work hybrid?

The team currently combines working from home with working together in person. The precise hybrid-working arrangements and office expectations are to be confirmed.
