Hiring Unit:
Department of Chemistry
Position Summary:
- Leads and conducts research on cellulose modification.
- Interpret magnetic and spectroscopic data.
- Focus research on the use of antibacterial cellulose.
- Report writing and presentations.
- Monitor the progress of graduate students in the lab.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:
- Strong analytic skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstration of leadership.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems effectively and in a timely manner.
- Must be a self-motivated worker who can work both autonomously and in group settings in a complex, changing, and deadline-oriented environment.
Experience and Education:
- PhD in chemistry with 5 years+ postdoctoral/research experience after receiving PhD degree.
