About the Role
As a Global Supply Framework Expert within the Supply Chain management organization, you will play a key role in defining, maintaining, and developing the global standard of working with suppliers in the Supply Chain Management processes. Your primary responsibility will be to define and develop the optimal standards for SCM supplier management in collaboration with SCM and Procurement, which will ensure the highest SCM performance for customers with the lowest possible cost. In addition, you will continuously control and evaluate Supplier processes for their compliance to standards.
What You Will Do
- Independently move projects forward by collaborating and driving commitments from internal teams cross-functionally with (e.g., Procurement, Finance, Operations, IT) to set objectives and produce meaningful results
- Apply up-to-date expertise to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
- Devise clear frameworks for making day-to-day decisions including building project plans
SCM Supply Framework
- Define, develop and support implementation of supply concepts for supply base including Supplier Consignment, Vendor Managed Inventory, Ship to Line, KANBAN, MOQ, Delivery Incoterms and shipping Standards, etc.
- Set-up and execute MMOG/LE (Materials Management Operations Guideline Logistic Evaluation) system for Harman Supplier Base. Plan and execute with supply base Yearly Self-Evaluation schedules and Yearly confirmation audit programs according to the latest MMOG/LE standard
- Drive improvement in Intercompany (ICO) global delivery process governance and continuous improvement including definition, development and control of ICO delivery process standards.
- Drive improvement and continuously improve SCM PTN/PCN processes and tools for efficient supply chain management. Control the execution of product and process termination and change processes to optimize cost, inventory and delivery service to customers.
- Provide detailed spend analyses to determine where opportunities exist to move to consignment and reduce carrying costs
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency
SCM Source Framework
- Develop and maintain Supplier Performance Evaluation System for SCM performance. Foster the development of new capabilities through collaboration with suppliers and key stakeholders; provide feedback to suppliers on their SCM performance, encouraging continuous improvement and innovation; proactively identify and address any performance issues by collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring efficient resolution
- Participate in sourcing and procurement processes and decisions by evaluating Supplier SCM competences and their alignment to Harman Supplier standards.
- Co-Develop training programs internally as well as for suppliers about supply concepts and Harman Supplier Standards
- Cultivate and govern supplier relationships relevant to SCM business needs and business
SCM Risk Management Framework
- Develop and implement Supplier Performance Evaluation System for SCM performance. Initiate and drive targeted supplier development programs with Cross-functional teams including Plant SCM and Procurement.
- Set-up and execute MMOG/LE (Materials Management Operations Guideline Logistic Evaluation) system for Harman Supplier Base. Plan and execute with supply base Yearly Self-Evaluation schedules and Yearly confirmation audit programs according to the latest MMOG/LE standard
- Act as Supply Chain due diligence Leader to
- Conduct Risk assessment of supply base
- Implement preventive measures and risk mitigation measures
- Establish Governance Mechanisms for supply risks management
- Set-up and govern GSCC Global Supply Chain Council.
- Establish influence within the organization, evaluate existing practices, and challenge the status quo when necessary; ensure compliance with SCM and Procurement policies
- Ensure Suppliers comply with Data Privacy and Security IT requirements, Financial Health Assessments, Inspection Readiness Preparation Activities, Data Analyses and Benchmarking to Provide Data Informed Insights into Strategies and Continuous Improvement Initiatives, Presentations, and Trainings
What You Need to Be Successful
- Required Years of Experience: 5 years
- Bachelor/Master’s in supply chain related fields and Certifications from accredited bodies.
- Proficiency in practice advanced supply chain management technology and supply strategies, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and advanced data analytics tools. With In-depth knowledge of SIOP principles, and inventory management practices.
- Knowledge of automotive industry including supply chain dynamics with at least 5+ years automotive experience
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities to manage complex supply chain challenges and foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including consultants/suppliers
- Demonstrated ability for Strategic thinking and ability to adapt to changing business requirements and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Prior experience developing knowledge playbooks, procedures, and policies.
- Ability to complete tasks and projects under minimal supervision and can manage competing priorities effectively and proficiently.
- Strong project management, organization, and critical thinking skills
Bonus Points if You Have
- Procurement and/or SCM Experience
- Consignment Strategies
- Supply Standards and System skills (SAP, SAP- IBP, etc.
- Extensive experience in SCM governance of supplier performance in a global manufacturing environment.
- Specific Automotive experience handling large suppliers having been responsible for negotiations etc. at the time of crisis.
What Makes You Eligible
- Be willing to travel up to 15-20 %, domestic and/or international travel.
- Be willing to work in an office (hybrid environment) in Queretaro, Mexico with close collaboration with manufacturing sites across Harman.
