Employee Benefits Account Manager (Remote Opportunity)
Job Summary
Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Employee Benefits Account Manager (EBAM) to join a well-respected employee benefits brokerage team. As part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you will manage a portfolio of small group accounts, ensuring exceptional client service and seamless account management. Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 annually
- Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of small group accounts (primarily groups of 50-100 employees, with some smaller groups of 2-19 employees).
- Handle renewals, light open enrollment presentations, enrollments, and claims.
- Quote new and renewal business, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide exceptional client service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless account management and client satisfaction.
- Utilize Zywave Brokerage Builder software (transitioning to BenefitPoint next year) to manage client accounts and documentation.
- Maintain responsiveness and professionalism in all client and team communications.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Licensure: Active Life & Health (L&H) license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in employee benefits account management or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Zywave Brokerage Builder or similar software preferred; willingness to transition to BenefitPoint.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with fully insured and level-funded plans (95% of accounts are fully insured).
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Professionalism: Responsiveness, timely communication, and adherence to professional etiquette (e.g., sending thank-you notes, responding promptly to assessments).
