Salary: from £26,500 to £28,000 per annum DOE
Full time (37.5 hours)

As an Assistant Buyer, you'll support sourcing activities across a range of categories within the UK Market Unit. Working alongside experienced Category Specialists and Category Managers, you'll help identify opportunities, carry out market research, support supplier selection processes and provide valuable commercial insight.

How you’ll help us make health happen
Support sourcing activities across one or more procurement categories.
Help develop and maintain category plans that identify opportunities for savings and improvements.
Carry out market research and supplier benchmarking to support category strategies.
Assist with supplier selection and tender activities, helping to achieve the best outcomes for Bupa.
Support pre-qualification processes, supplier evaluations and commercial reviews.
Prepare procurement reporting dashboards and provide data-driven insights.
Coordinate supplier due diligence activities and make sure required documentation is completed on time.
Manage procurement administration activities, including maintaining supplier and contract records.
Support contract drafting activities with relevant stakeholders.
Promote procurement best practice across the organisation.
Build positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct.
Key Skills/Qualifications needed for this role
Experience in a fast paced administrative role is essential. Please make sure your experience is included on your application
Experience within a buying/procurement function would be advantageous
Strong commercial awareness.
Good communication skills and the ability to explain information clearly.
Experience building effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
Excellent attention to detail.
Confidence working with data and reporting tools.
Good Microsoft Office skills.
Negotiation or contract administration experience would be advantageous.
A positive and professional approach with a willingness to learn and develop
