General Information/Job Summary
Saulsbury Industries is seeking a Maintenance and Facilities Assistant to be responsible for providing assistance to the Real Estate and Facilities Manager in the maintenance and operation of all SI owned or leased properties.
Responsibilities/Competencies
- Perform routine maintenance on the buildings which includes changing light bulbs, small plumbing issues in bathrooms and kitchens, make minor repair to heating, cooling, plumbing building systems
- Notify facilities manager of any needed repairs
- Move furniture, business equipment when required
- Load, unload or stack containers, materials or product
- Control & monitor irrigation system & make small repairs
- Keep four kitchens clean & stocked with supplies
- Keep conference rooms cleaned & organized
- Monitor rest rooms for small problems & make sure they stay clean
- Pick up trash on the outside of our building almost daily
- Occasionally we shift some of the hours from the week to the weekend to do tasks that are better done in a near empty building
- Carry a phone 24/7
- Have basic computer skills
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License and meet the company’s fleet policy requirements
- Experience in the repair of small electrical and plumbing projects in order to perform routine maintenance on the buildings
- MVR along with background and drug screen required
- Physically able to do manual labor and climb
- Willing and able to follow instructions
- Well-groomed and personable
- Safety minded and willing to following the safety rules and policies of the company
- Personal and Professional Integrity
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk the property and laydown yards.
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds.
