Role: Senior Accountant

Location: North Bradford
Salary: Up to £40,000 (dependent on experience)

Are you an experienced Practice Accountant looking to join a well established independent firm where you'll manage your own client portfolio, build long-term client relationships and work closely with supportive Directors?

An established and highly respected accountancy practice in North Bradford is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to support its continued growth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with clients, taking ownership of their workload and becoming a trusted adviser to owner-managed businesses.

The Role:

Working as part of a friendly and collaborative team, you'll manage a varied portfolio of SME clients, taking responsibility for delivering a high-quality service across a range of accounting and tax matters.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of SME clients

• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts

• Preparing management accounts

• Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns

• Reviewing VAT returns

• Acting as the main point of contact for clients

• Providing practical business advice and support

• Building long-term client relationships

• Supporting junior members of the team where appropriate

• Working closely with the Directors on client matters

About You:

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice

• Experience managing a portfolio of clients

• Strong accounts, tax and VAT knowledge

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• A proactive and commercial approach

• The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team

• ACA or ACCA qualified

• Professionally qualified with strong practice experience

This opportunity is best suited to someone already working at Senior Accountant level. It is not a trainee or study support position.
