Job Description

The Payoff Analyst supports Equipment Finance customers and business partners by preparing payoff quotes, processing dispositions and payoff transactions, responding to customer inquiries, and coordinating activities with multiple internal teams. This position works closely with sales, credit, documentation, insurance, and titling teams to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure accurate and timely transaction processing.

The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build productive relationships across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for customers and internal business partners.
• Generate and process payoff quotes and payoff transactions.
• Manage end-of-term lease activities, including equipment dispositions.
• Respond to customer requests, inquiries, and issue resolution in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with sales, credit, documentation, insurance, titling, and other internal teams to support customer needs.
• Research and resolve transaction discrepancies and operational issues.
• Identify potential customer concerns and proactively work toward resolution.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in department systems.
• Cross-sell or refer customers to additional bank products and services when appropriate.
• Develop expertise in assigned accounts, products, and Equipment Finance processes.
  

Basic Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
• Three to five years of experience in the financial services industry
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong customer service and problem-resolution skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
• Resourceful with the ability to research issues and identify solutions independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
• Experience working across multiple departments and stakeholder groups.
• Equipment leasing or Equipment Finance experience is preferred but not required.

Location expectations 

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week. This position is located in either Marshall, MN or West Side Flats location in St. Paul, MN.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $25.06 - 30.62
