Logistics Insight Corporation (LINC), a subsidiary of Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc., is a leading third-party logistics (3PL) provider offering a broad range of supply chain services. This position is based in Flint, MI, supporting General Motors operations in the area. The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse and operational activities, ensuring customer requirements are met while maintaining high standards for safety, productivity, quality, and employee engagement.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing overall leadership and direction for warehouse operations, administrative functions, and customer service activities
- Managing supervisors, office staff, and hourly employees while promoting a positive and accountable work environment
- Ensuring operational performance meets or exceeds customer expectations and contractual requirements
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), labor utilization, productivity, quality, and inventory accuracy
- Developing staffing plans and supporting recruiting, onboarding, training, and employee development initiatives
- Managing employee relations, performance management, coaching, and corrective action processes
- Maintaining compliance with company policies, customer requirements, safety regulations, and environmental standards
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction
- Preparing and reviewing operational reports, financial performance metrics, labor reports, and productivity data
- Partnering closely with customer representatives to address concerns, identify opportunities, and strengthen business relationships
- Managing facility budgets, labor costs, and operational expenses
- Coordinating inbound and outbound material flow to support production requirements
- Supporting startup activities, new business implementation, and operational growth initiatives as needed
- Ensuring facility readiness, housekeeping standards, and equipment utilization meet company expectations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered
- 5+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, automotive, or supply chain operations
- Previous experience managing supervisors, salaried employees, and hourly workforces
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, labor planning, and customer relations
- Experience working in automotive or manufacturing environments preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management systems
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs
