Job Description
Key Requirements
- Strong fundamentals in Fluid Mechanics, Fan Aerodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Thermodynamics.
- Hands-on experience in CFD analysis of fans, blowers, rotating machinery, and thermal systems.
- Proficient in ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, or equivalent CFD tools.
- Experience in fan performance prediction, airflow optimization, pressure drop analysis, and thermal management studies.
- Good understanding of fan design principles, performance curves, system resistance, and aerodynamic performance.
- Experience in experimental validation and correlation of CFD results with wind tunnel, airflow, acoustic, or thermal test data.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis of performance issues and field failures using simulation and test data.
- Strong understanding of turbulence modeling, meshing strategies, and CFD best practices.
- Ability to independently execute simulations, interpret results, and provide engineering recommendations.
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in Python programming for workflow automation, data processing, post-processing, and engineering analytics.
- Basic exposure to AI/ML techniques applied to engineering or simulation data is an added advantage.
- Experience with HVAC&R products, air-moving devices, or cooling system applications.
Qualification
- M.Tech/MS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Thermal, Energy, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines with 3-6 years of relevant experience in CFD and fan aerodynamics.
OR
PhD in Fluid Mechanics, Thermal Sciences, Aerodynamics, CFD, Aerospace, Mechanical, or related fields, with research focused on fan flows, rotating machinery, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, or experimental validation
Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Requires at least 5 years related experience.Understanding of the practical application of engineering science and technology. Experience with analytical and CAD software. Requires knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
