Position: Master of Public Health or Master of Social Work – Wellness & Prevention Services Graduate Assistant
Department: Wellness & Prevention Services (WPS)
Description: Academic school year, 20 hours/week. Potential for remote work one day a week.

Reports to: Assistant Director of Wellness & Prevention Services or designee
Accessibility to Public Transportation: Babson College is approximately one mile from the Wellesley Hills Commuter Rail train station and approximately four miles from the Woodland Station for the MBTA Green Line.

General Description:
Babson College is a private college located in Wellesley, MA. Babson enrolls approximately 2,500 undergraduate students and 1,000 graduate students from more than 80 countries. Babson is a leader in business education and entrepreneurial leadership.
Primary Responsibilities:
The WPS Graduate Assistant will support the Wellness & Prevention Services office by providing leadership, strategy, and direction for a comprehensive, culturally inclusive, evidence-based health promotion program for Babson College. A successful WPS Graduate Assistant will demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and will be able to function within a collaborative team environment. Specifically, the WPS Graduate Assistant will:
- Oversee and manage the completion of online wellness courses required for first- and second-year students
- Serve as a planner for various campus events including Fresh Check Day, a mental health promotion and suicide prevention event; Sex in the Dark, an event to promote a sex-positive campus culture; Love Yourself, a campus-wide mental health fair; and CARE Week, the College’s Sexual Assault Awareness programming.
- Support Peers On Wellness (POWs) Training and Orientation at the start of each semester
- Efficiently organize and classify large volumes of data to enhance accessibility and usability
- Implement data categorization strategies to facilitate quick retrieval and analysis within the data platform used at Babson College, Impact Feedback
- Support monthly reports for Wellness & Prevention Services inclusive of dashboard indicator reports and Alcohol Emergency reports to be shared with Health & Wellness Department or relevant campus stakeholders
- Oversee the implementation of the National College Health Assessment (NCHA) and/or maintain relevant statistics on priority campus health issues/concerns
- Support Recovery Ally Training and substance-free programming activities
- Support the Wellness & Prevention Services office in creating a comprehensive wellness portfolio in which all our work is implemented and evaluated
- Provide literature reviews when appropriate
- Attend weekly staff meetings
- Attend weekly supervision hours
- Other responsibilities assigned based on experience, talent, interest, and need
Preferred Knowledge/Skills & Abilities:
- Experience using a variety of data gathering tools and techniques and meticulous attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and consistency.
- Experience working with Qualtrics, Impact, Microsoft, and other relevant data analysis programs
- Knowledge of presentation programs, like PowerPoint, and integrating charts and tables
- Interest in graphic design (Canva, Photoshop, and/or InDesign)
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment and interact with culturally diverse individuals
- Strong attention to detail, communication and presentation skills
Learning outcomes associated with the position:
- Learning outcomes will be derived from a collaboratively built Learning Contract and evaluated twice during the academic year.
- The Learning Contract will be shared with Babson College and your academic program.
