Deputy Head of Nursery (Interim)
📍 Overview
- Role: Deputy Head of Nursery
- Contract: Interim
- Start: ASAP
- Rate: £400 per day
- Location: Fully on-site
- Hours: Full-time (open to part-time if needed, but preference is full-time)
🎯 Purpose of Role
Provide hands-on operational leadership within a nursery setting, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery of early years education.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day operational management of the nursery
- Lead on:
- Curriculum delivery
- Child development standards
- Support and manage staff on-site
- Ensure:
- Safeguarding compliance
- Health & safety standards
- Staff supervision processes are in place
- Maintain consistent, high-quality practice across the setting
- Support service stability in a high-risk environment
✅ Essential Experience
- Background in Early Years / Nursery leadership
- Experience as:
- Deputy Head, OR
- Nursery Manager, OR
- Multi-site Early Years Lead
- Strong understanding of:
- EYFS
- Ofsted standards
- Experience working in challenging or recovering settings
