Job Summary

Seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Producer to join a team. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives on generating and closing new business opportunities, particularly within the farm and agricultural sectors. This position offers the chance to inherit an existing book of business while also building new relationships and expanding the client base.

Compensation Package

• Salary Range: $50,000 - $75,000 (commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities

• Prospect and generate new commercial business opportunities, primarily within the farm and agricultural sectors.
• Conduct cold calling, email outreach, networking, and in-person visits to farms and ag-related businesses.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads.
• Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within new accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with farmers, ranchers, agribusiness owners, and agricultural lenders.
• Perform risk assessments and gather underwriting information for quotes.
• Prepare and present tailored proposals for farm and agricultural exposures, including property, liability, equipment, and crop coverage.
• Negotiate coverage terms and close new business deals.
• Meet or exceed monthly and annual production goals.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Licenses/Certifications: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license in Oregon is required.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in commercial insurance production.
  • Proven track record of generating and closing new business.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in AMS360 and ImageRight software is preferred.
