Responsibilities

• Generate and develop new business opportunities by actively seeking out prospective commercial clients and growing a book of business.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their unique insurance needs and delivering tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including account managers and underwriters, to ensure efficient handling of client accounts.
• Act as a trusted advisor, educating clients on risk assessment, insurance products, and coverage options.
• Stay current with market trends, industry regulations, and underwriting guidelines to provide clients with accurate and up-to-date advice.
• Prepare and present insurance proposals and policy recommendations to clients, negotiating terms to meet client needs.
• Provide exceptional post-sale service, including policy renewals, changes, and claims management.
• Adhere to ethical standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Participate in networking and community events to build strong professional relationships and establish a presence in the market.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Education & Licensure:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field preferred.
  • Must hold a valid state Property & Casualty Insurance Producer license or be able to obtain one within a designated timeframe.

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial insurance sales or as an insurance producer, with a proven track record of achieving sales goals.

• Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of commercial lines insurance products and markets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with the proficiency to explain complex information clearly.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in CRM software and other insurance platforms/tools.
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
