The Northern Nanny Agency is delighted to be recruiting for a prestigious private household in Chelsea, London. We placed their Nanny several years ago and she highly recommends the family.

We are seeking an exceptionally experienced, professional and proactive Nanny / Housekeeper to support a busy family with two school-aged children, aged 9 and 6.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly capable individual who takes genuine pride in their work and can deliver outstanding standards across both childcare and housekeeping. The successful candidate will be equally confident managing the children’s daily routines and maintaining a beautifully organised, immaculate home.

The Role

This is a dual-role position requiring proven experience in both professional childcare and high-standard housekeeping. The family is looking for someone who can seamlessly balance both responsibilities, demonstrating excellent organisational skills, initiative and discretion.

Childcare Responsibilities

• Managing school drop-offs and collections.
• Supporting the children with homework, reading and after-school routines.
• Ensuring the children’s daily needs are met in a warm, attentive and nurturing manner.
• Organising activities and supporting the children’s development and wellbeing.
• Keeping children’s bedrooms, wardrobes and belongings organised.
• Managing school bags, uniforms and other day-to-day arrangements.
• Providing occasional babysitting or additional childcare support as required.
• Accompanying the family on occasional trips when needed.

Housekeeping Responsibilities

• Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the property.
• Managing laundry, ironing and garment care to a very high standard.
• Keeping wardrobes, cupboards and household spaces beautifully organised.
• Ensuring the home remains tidy, orderly and running smoothly.
• Taking responsibility for household organisation and anticipating the family’s needs.
• Managing household supplies and ensuring everything is well maintained.
• Working independently and proactively, taking pride in every detail.

The Ideal Candidate

The family is looking for someone who:

• Has extensive, demonstrable experience working as both a professional nanny and housekeeper and longevity within their roles.
• Can confidently deliver an exceptional standard in both areas of responsibility.
• Has experience supporting professional or private households with demanding schedules.
• Is highly organised, discreet, trustworthy and professional.
• Demonstrates initiative and can work independently without constant direction.
• Is warm, engaging and confident when caring for school-aged children.
• Is flexible and adaptable, understanding that the parents’ professional commitments may require changes to the usual routine.
• Is happy to travel occasionally with the family if required.
• Has outstanding attention to detail and takes genuine pride in maintaining a well-run household.

Essential Requirements

• Extensive professional nanny and housekeeping experience.
• Excellent, verifiable references from previous employers.
• A current enhanced DBS check, or willingness to undertake the appropriate checks.
• Flexibility regarding working hours, in line with the family’s needs.
• A professional, discreet and reliable approach at all times.

Salary & Benefits

• £75,000 per annum.
• Live-out position based in Chelsea, London.
