A Brief Overview
Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of high-profile Reinsurtech products in Hong Kong by translating client, market, and business needs into scalable digital solutions that support new business growth and strengthen RGA’s differentiation. Bridge local business teams, clients, technology, data science, underwriting, risk, operations, and regional stakeholders to manage product roadmaps, prioritize new features, and deliver sustainable incremental business value.
What you will do
Product ownership and roadmap delivery: Build, manage, and continuously improve client-facing Reinsurtech products in the Life & Health underwriting and claims space, translating business requirements into clear technical requirements, product features, backlog priorities, and delivery plans.
Client, market, and innovation alignment: Partner with local client-facing teams, clients, and internal and external stakeholders to identify differentiated opportunities, address client challenges, and use business intelligence, market insights, and client feedback to shape product strategy and prioritize new features.
Execution, launch, and value realization: Support execution plans, go-to-market activities, product operations, adoption, and delivery governance; define and monitor business and operational metrics to assess product effectiveness, performance, and incremental business value.
Project, risk, and stakeholder governance: Manage workplans, budgets, communications, timelines, dependencies, risks, resilience measures, data access controls, documentation, and periodic testing, while reporting progress and recommendations to product/project leadership and governance committees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, Bioinformatics or related field.
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, Bioinformatics or related field preferred.
- 8+ Years experience in product ownership, digital transformation, business technology delivery, innovation, or consulting, preferably in insurance, reinsurance, financial services, or another regulated industry.
- 5+ Years experience managing client-facing digital products or platforms, including product roadmaps, feature prioritization, backlog management, delivery planning, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.
- 5+ Years experience in data analytics and delivery of AI/ML enabled digital solutions with tangible business value
- Life & Health insurance or reinsurance domain knowledge, including underwriting, claims, risk management, client onboarding, and product development.
- Product ownership and agile delivery capability, including business problem definition, feature translation, backlog refinement, sprint planning, prioritization, and iterative delivery.
- Data-driven product strategy, using business intelligence, market insights, client feedback, operational metrics, and performance data to prioritize enhancements and measure product value.
- Cross-functional stakeholder leadership, with strong facilitation, influencing, relationship management, and communication skills across business, technology, underwriting, operations, risk, compliance, data, regional teams, clients, and external partners.
- Project governance and execution management, including workplans, budgets, timelines, dependencies, risks, governance forums, senior stakeholder communications, and delivery in matrixed or multi-market environments.
- Analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, adaptability, and resilience skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, clients, products, and projects under tight deadlines and ambiguous conditions.
- Native or business-level proficiency in English.
- Proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is highly preferred.
