Role summary:The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Food Equipment, is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures following established schedules and safety standards. This role requires diagnosing issues, utilizing multiple craft skills, and managing work orders and parts procurement. The technician ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies while supporting operational continuity through timely response to emergencies and collaboration with contractors and team members. What you'll do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures following established schedules and guidelines.
- Inspect, test, and diagnose equipment issues using blueprints, manuals, and parts catalogs.
- Utilize hand and power tools, heavy machinery, and material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts ordering, and warranty claims with accurate documentation.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and participate in on-call rotations to support critical business needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while coordinating with contractors and team members.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on food equipment and facility systems using multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Ability to diagnose equipment issues through inspection, testing, and use of technical manuals and blueprints.
- Proficiency in operating hand and power tools, heavy machinery, and material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills to manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts procurement, and documentation accurately.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA compliance.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with contractors and internal teams.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to emergency maintenance needs.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.Option 2: 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
