About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Planner to manage work requests, control back log in SAP, plans work orders, procures materials, and prioritizes and schedules work to maximize process up-time and minimize material costs and contract services.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced technical leader to play a critical role in developing and maintaining comprehensive schedules, utilize design database to obtain equipment and evaluate incoming requests to determine priorities.

About the role

Reporting to the Maintenance & Reliability Manager and working in a collaborative community, a challenging and exciting environment, you will:

• Drive safety initiatives, audit Life Critical Procedures, and intervene to address unsafe acts and conditions.
• Ensure the Management of Change (MOC) processes were completed.
• Promote safe work practices and support adherence to company procedures and standards.
• Develop and manage maintenance schedules and resource plans by coordinating labor, equipment, materials, and forward-looking maintenance activities to support operational requirements.
• Plan and prioritize maintenance work execution by evaluating work requests, gathering scheduling inputs, coordinating with operations, and managing routine maintenance work orders through completion and closeout.
• Create maintenance strategies and technical plans utilizing SAP and equipment databases to develop maintenance programs aligned with plant procedures, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support quality, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives by participating in quality audits, representing the department in quality meetings, and contributing to cross-functional cost optimization efforts.
• Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to communicate maintenance priorities, resource requirements, production impacts, and key business activities to ensure safe and efficient plant performance.

About you

• High School diploma required, associate degree preferred
• A minimum of five years of chemical process maintenance experience with general knowledge of plant systems, processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of maintenance or project planning experience.
• Knowledge of the Materials Management and Production Planning modules in SAP as well as Excel and Word Processing software (Microsoft Office, including Access).
