Role Summary
The IR Generalist serves as the firm-level integrator across all strategies, ensuring consistency, quality, and operational excellence in the delivery of investor communications, marketing materials, diligence responses, and onboarding processes. This role will primarily support the real estate businesses of ORIX USA, which include real estate debt and equity, in addition to also supporting senior private credit and securitized credit IR colleagues, partnering closely with strategy specialists and investment teams while liaising with the sales team and responding to investor requests. The role will focus on execution and maintenance of collateral, in addition to maintaining processes, and standards that support a scalable, institutional investor experience across the entire platform.
Core Responsibilities
- Firm-Level Content Stewardship: Maintain ownership of all strategy-specific marketing materials, corporate positioning, and cross-strategy content. Ensure consistency of messaging, branding, and data across decks, fact sheets, and investor communications and have full knowledge of collateral library in order to respond to investor inquiries efficiently.
- Content Creation: Assist product strategists and investment teams with presentation slide development in addition to facilitating investor inquiry responses in partnership with sales team input and investment team data.
- Marketing Governance & Compliance Coordination: Partner with Compliance to enforce marketing “rules of the road,” ensuring all materials and communications adhere to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and version-control standards.
- RFP/DDQ Leadership: Complete RFPs, DDQs, and ad hoc diligence requests. Manage and update consultant databases. Coordinate closely with Sales and Product Strategists to ensure responses are accurate, timely, and aligned with strategy-specific narratives.
- Investor Onboarding & Servicing: Facilitate with the onboarding process, including reviewing subscription documentation, KYC/AML coordination, and operational setup.
- Portal & Data Room Administration: Help manage the investor portal, including data room organization, reporting distribution, and document access. Ensure materials are current, accurate, and consistently structured across strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
- 4+ years in investor relations, fund marketing, product/RFP management, or business development within alternative asset management; direct exposure to real estate and familiarity with private credit
- Strong quantitative skills, understanding of real estate and credit markets and ability to conduct market research in order to create compelling narratives.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; high attention to detail and comfort owning firm-wide, externally-facing materials.
- Experience and familiarity with the end-to-end RFP/DDQ process, including consultant databases (e.g., eVestment, Preqin) and institutional questionnaire standards.
- Exceptional PowerPoint and Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of investor portal and data room platforms (e.g. Intralinks, Juniper Square) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Familiarity with SEC Marketing Rule requirements and experience partnering with Compliance on review and approval workflows.
- Familiarity with fund subscription documentation and KYC/AML onboarding processes, ideally across multiple vehicle types (drawdown, evergreen/perpetual, REIT, interval fund).
- Proven ability to operate as a cross-functional integrator — comfortable partnering across Sales, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Operations.
- Bachelor's degree required; CFA, CAIA, or MBA a plus but not required.
Annual base salary gross: $120,000 - $145,000 (NY only). The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end of ORIX’s salary for this position based on geography. Actual base salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base pay is one component of ORIX’s total compensation package for employees.
