Action Against Hunger began operations in Nigeria in 2010 in response to the high rate of chronic malnutrition in Northern Nigeria, focusing on integrated programming. Action Against Hunger currently implements multi-sectoral humanitarian and development interventions in Northeast and Northwest Nigeria, funded by AFD, EU/ECHO, French Government, GAC, GFFO, SIDA, US Government, and WAM Foundation.
Action Against Hunger Nigeria (ACF Nigeria) Ltd/Gte is currently recruiting a Human Resources Officer based in Katsina. The officer will support the full employee lifecycle by managing contracts, onboarding, payroll administration, employee records, probation tracking and separation processes while ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.

- Maintenance of high technical standards.
- Conduct all duties in a professional manner following ACF Nigeria mission staff regulations, ACF mandate and charter including promotion of gender equality.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Administration, Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience, including at least 1 year in an HR or administrative role.
- Basic knowledge of labor laws and HR policies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and maintain positive working relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
- High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Good analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience with an international NGO (INGO), especially in the health or humanitarian sector, is an added advantage.
- Fluency in English and in one or more local languages is desirable.
- Experience using Homere payroll software is an advantage.
