As an Intern within the Greater China Business Office, Global Metals & Mining team, you'll have the opportunity to develop your research, analytical, and financial analysis skills while supporting strategic client coverage and business development activities. You'll work alongside experienced bankers and gain insights into how corporate banking supports large corporates through changing market conditions and evolving industry trends.

You'll work closely with the team to conduct industry research, analyse market developments, and evaluate financial and business information. Your ability to translate data into meaningful insights, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively will help support informed business decisions and contribute to the team's success.
What You Do
Your responsibilities will include:
- Industry Research: conduct research on industry developments, market trends, and macroeconomic factors affecting corporate banking clients within the metals and mining sector
- Market Intelligence: gather and analyse market intelligence, economic indicators, and sector developments to support business planning and client engagement activities
- Financial Analysis: analyse historical financial statements and performance trends of large corporate clients to support business reviews and portfolio assessments
- Data Analytics: leverage data and analytical tools to identify trends, evaluate opportunities, and generate actionable business insights
- Presentation Development: prepare research summaries, presentations, briefing materials, and management reports to support internal discussions and client engagement activities
- Business Support: assist with portfolio reviews, sector monitoring, and strategic initiatives undertaken by the team
- Ad-hoc Projects: provide support on special projects, business analyses, and other assignments as required
Who You Work With
Global Corporate Banking partners leading corporations across Asia and key international markets, providing financing solutions, industry expertise, and advisory support to help businesses achieve their growth ambitions. Within the Greater China Business Office, Global Metals & Mining team, you'll work alongside experienced bankers who manage relationships with large corporate clients and support opportunities across the metals, mining, and broader industrial sectors. You'll gain valuable exposure to industry coverage, corporate banking, and client relationship management in a dynamic and international environment.
