About the role
As VP of Global Insights, you'll play a central role in how The LEGO Group creates meaningful value for its fans, consumers and shoppers. Leading a global team in developing and leveraging world class methodologies, technologies, data sources and capabilities, you will equip our developers, agency partners and marketers to drive innovation and execution excellence via deep human and business understanding. Required Qualifications
•Insights Mastery: Demonstrated ability to drive deep human understanding and sophisticated use of global insights to translate them into meaningful consumer and commercial results
•Future-Forward Mindset: Fluency in emerging methodologies, first-party data strategy, and AI-enabled insights, with a track record of keeping the innovation engine running
•Functional Depth: Deep expertise in the sourcing, synthesis, and embedding of actionable insights into a commercial operation
•Strong Leadership Experience: Proven track record leading large global teams, including evolving ways of working and capability building
•Global Team Leadership: Experience leading large, globally dispersed teams — particularly leading through other leaders. A strong ability to dial up presence in Asian markets is highly valued.
•Collaboration & Influence: Proven ability to drive strong collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners, acting as a sparring partner rather than merely a service provider
•Performance & Resource Optimization: Demonstrated experience building a high-performance culture and driving resource efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
•Potentially an MBA to demonstrate and broader commercial understanding and rigor (beyond just being an insights expert), but it is by no means a requirement.
What you'll build (your key responsibilities)
Champion insights excellence & innovation:
•Serve as the organization's foremost insights expert across primary research (focus groups,ethnographyand emerging methodologies), go-to-market research (path-to-purchase andcommercial activation),portfolio research (passions, portfolio research, concept validation,and creative testing), trackingplatforms (NPS, brand equity tracking, consumer grouptracking), competitive intelligence and dataplatforms (dashboards, self-service tools, andenabling infrastructure)
•Innovate the insights engine via new methodologies, technologies and data sources
Drive integration across disciplines to solve the most critical business challenges
•Embed the mindset shifts required to enable collaboration and integration across business units and stakeholders that maximizes the impact of our insights engine
•Ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities, and placing the right people in the right roles to catalyse positive change
•Leading through leaders — empowering, developing, and holding your leadership team accountable
•Fostering a high-performance culture across globally dispersed teams
Drive stakeholder engagement & cross-functional integration and position Global Insights as a true commercial partner:
•Deliver integrated insight solutions for stakeholders across the enterprise
•Inspire and provoke stakeholders to embrace GI as a strategic sparring partner
•Engage in senior-level stakeholder management, including resource allocation (e.g., "handshake" process, agile ways of working), KPI target setting and navigating necessary trade-offs and regional complexities
•Ensure close coordination with adjacent functions including cultural intelligence (Cultures & Futures), Markets & Channels, and Analytics & Insights
Maintain a network of world-class insights partners and enable them to do their best work
•Support GI's primary partner contacts by inspiring and provoking external partners to deliver
Stay connected to commercial realities
•Engage actively with Global Marketing Insights & Planning leadership team, including Global Marketing Planning, Portfolio & Audience Development, Cultures & Futures
•Maintain regular touchpoints with business stakeholders to stay abreast of key developments, opportunities, and context
•Simplify decision-making and help the organization navigate a highly matrixed environment
Foster an environment that drives strong motivation and satisfaction among GI employees
•Driving simplicity in tools, processes and governance
•Supporting strong learning and career development for insights specialists
•Ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities
•Strong discipline in resource allocation and eliminating duplication

The VP, Global Insights plays a pivotal role in helping the LEGO Group stay deeply connected to the consumers, shoppers, and marketplaces we serve. By leading the Global Insights function, this role ensures that decision-makers across the enterprise — from marketing and portfolio development to brand development to commercial and regional teams — have access to sharp, actionable human understanding that fuels creativity, sharpens strategy, and drives commercial performance. Through a modern insights engine powered by leading methodologies, technologies, and data sources, the VP enables the organization to anticipate change, unlock growth opportunities, and stay ahead of an evolving global landscape.
Beyond delivering insights, this leader acts as a strategic sparring partner to senior stakeholders, driving integration across business units and adjacent functions such as Cultures & Futures, Markets & Channels, and Analytics & Insights. By simplifying decision-making in a highly matrixed environment, cultivating world-class internal and external partnerships, and building a high-performance global team, the VP ensures Global Insights amplifies the LEGO Group's ability to reach and inspire children and families around the world.

Success in this role means growing a strong leadership team and elevating Global Insights as a trusted strategic partner to the business. You will help leaders make better decisions through deep consumer understanding, integrated insights and the effective use of first-party data, AI and emerging technologies.
