What you'll do...
Role summary:The Senior Manager, Freight Forwarding Performance Management, oversees end-to-end freight forwarding operations, ensuring efficient inventory flow through global logistics networks and fulfillment centers. This role involves analyzing data to enhance network performance, managing internal and external partnerships, and driving continuous process improvements. The position requires leading cross-functional collaboration to meet GMV growth, assortment expansion, and profitability goals while resolving logistics disruptions. Additionally, the role includes supervising teams, conducting performance evaluations, and supporting strategic initiatives to optimize supply chain execution and cost efficiency, all while upholding company policies and fostering a high-performance work environment.
About the team:
The team leads the advancement of global logistics and international freight forwarding services, prioritizing convenience, reliability, and cost efficiency for marketplace sellers. It drives strategic initiatives in ocean and air freight consolidation while aligning commercial product roadmaps with Walmart’s systems strategy. Collaborating across supply chain, marketplace, product, and engineering functions, the team delivers enterprise-wide programs, manages profit and loss, and achieves financial objectives. Emphasizing accountability, integrity, and operational excellence, the team enhances Walmart’s global logistics capabilities through innovative solutions and strong cross-functional partnerships.
What you'll do:
- Manage end-to-end freight forwarding processes, ensuring efficient inventory flow through global logistics networks and fulfillment centers.
- Analyze data and lead root cause investigations to resolve shipping, receiving, inventory, and return issues.
- Oversee internal partner relationships, communicate expectations, and lead performance improvement programs using performance scorecards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align global logistics execution with GMV growth, assortment expansion, and profitability goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, applying lean concepts and cost reduction strategies.
- Lead and develop associates through coaching, performance management, and team-building efforts.
- Develop and execute business plans, removing obstacles and adjusting strategies to meet operational objectives.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience managing end-to-end freight forwarding processes and driving operational excellence.
- Proven ability to analyze data and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize global logistics performance.
- Strong skills in supply chain strategy, planning, and workflow management to ensure efficient operations flow.
- Expertise in root cause analysis and resolving escalated logistics issues effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership in supervising teams, mentoring associates, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Proficiency in program and project management, with a focus on achieving key performance indicators.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external and internal stakeholders.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
