Job Description
As a Armed Security Officer - Site Patrol in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This role calls for professionalism, sound judgment, and integrity while working as part of an agile, reliable, innovative team with a caring, people-first culture.

- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, courtyards, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable procedures and reporting requirements.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization when required, and report suspicious behavior or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Carry and maintain assigned equipment, including firearms, in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
