Description
Our client is a growing, full-service technology integration company specializing in custom audio, video, automation, and related low-voltage systems. The company designs, installs, programs, and supports sophisticated technology solutions for a diverse range of environments, including high-end residential properties, hospitality venues, schools and educational institutions, commercial spaces, and houses of worship. Their work combines advanced technology with careful project execution, delivering integrated systems that are tailored to the specific needs of each client and space. From initial system design and engineering through installation, commissioning, service, and ongoing support, the company manages complex projects where quality, reliability, efficiency, and attention to detail are critical. With a hands-on, service-oriented approach and a strong focus on client satisfaction, the organization has built a reputation for delivering high-quality technology solutions while maintaining the flexibility required in a project-driven environment.
We are seeking a hands-on Director of Operations to take ownership of the company’s installation operations and installer workforce. This individual will play a central role in ensuring that projects are properly staffed, scheduled, executed, and completed profitably. The Director will be responsible for coordinating all installation bookings, maximizing the productivity and utilization of installers, monitoring project-level P&L and labor costs, and ensuring the field team has the resources and direction needed to execute successfully. The role will also oversee the full lifecycle of the installer workforce, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance management, development, and terminations. This is an important leadership position for someone who enjoys being close to the business, working directly with people, solving problems in real time, and creating structure and accountability within a growing organization. The ideal candidate will be comfortable wearing multiple hats and bringing a flexible, entrepreneurial mindset to the role.

- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement processes to improve margins and execution.
- Lead, manage, and develop the company’s installation team.
- Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and terminate installers as needed.
- Establish accountability around attendance, productivity, quality, and project performance.
- Ensure installers have the equipment, materials, information, and resources required to complete jobs successfully.
- Coordinate closely with project management, engineering, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot scheduling, staffing, and field execution issues quickly and effectively.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address delays, labor issues, or cost overruns.
- Help establish scalable operational processes as the company continues to grow.
- Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction, workmanship, and professional standards.
