Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Full Time in Windsor, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and respond to security-related concerns. This driving position calls for strong communication and customer service while supporting a professional environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or individuals in custody by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a correctional environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, housing areas, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access and movement through designated entry points, verify authorization as required, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, communicate relevant information to site personnel and/or responding law enforcement, and operate assigned equipment in accordance with post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of experience in armed security-related roles, law enforcement, or military service is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
