Our Toronto-based start-up client is seeking an ambitious Senior Accountant to roll-up their sleeves and join their team. This position has a mandatory in-office component.
Responsibilities
The Senior Accountant is responsible for, and not limited to:
The successful applicant has at least 4 years of progressive accounting experience. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple priorities is key. Active enrollment in or completion of the CPA process is mandatory

The Senior Accountant is responsible for, and not limited to:
- Own the month-end close process for your allocated balance sheet line items - including the flow through to the P&L
- Conduct monthly variance analysis and present your findings to the finance team
- Own allocated sections of the annual audit process
- Assist with accounts payable process and credit card reconciliations
- Drive process improvement initiatives and technical accounting memos
