Senior Treasury Analyst

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst. (Python Developer).

We are seeking a seasoned Python Developer with a strong background in Data Engineering to join our team supporting banking and financial services. Candidate should have deep expertise in building scalable data pipelines, working with large datasets, and developing robust backend systems using Python and modern data technologies. Experience in the banking domain is essential, with a strong understanding of regulatory reporting, treasury, risk, or financial analytics.

In this role, you will:

• Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives related to balance sheet management activities including measuring and managing risk arising from a mismatch of liquidity and cash flow profiles of assets and liabilities

• Review and analyze liquidity risk management, foreign exchange risk management, and interest risk management and provide overall advisory on such matters

• Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while leveraging a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

• Be responsible for moderately complex reporting and analytics on treasury balance sheet management metrics

• Ensure accurate recurring deliverables are completed and compliant with various risk management regulatory requirements

• Ensure data quality and establish controlled processes

• Make recommendations to more experienced group members and management

• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

• Interact with internal customers as well as outside parties including accounting and consulting firms

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Treasury experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong experience in software/data engineering roles, with at least 5 years in Python development.
• Strong experience in SQL, data modeling, and ETL frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, PySpark.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and tools like BigQuery, Airflow, or Databricks.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and reporting standards would be a plus.
• Exposure to BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Alteryx.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Job Expectatins:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines and ETL workflows using Python.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable solutions.
• Build and optimize data models and data warehousing solutions for financial reporting and analytics.
• Develop APIs and backend services using Python frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
• Integrate with financial systems and tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, SQL Server, Oracle).
• Ensure data quality, validation, and governance across the data lifecycle.
• Implement automation for data ingestion, transformation, and reporting processes.
• Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and deployment using CI/CD pipelines.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies in data engineering and financial analytics.
