About Our Family:
We are an active couple based in the Bloomfield Hills area. One of us works full time in a professional field and keeps a structured, predictable schedule. The other is retired and stays busy with personal interests, fitness, social engagements, and family visits. We are private people who appreciate a calm, unobtrusive presence in our home. We do not want to feel crowded or managed; we want to feel taken care of without knowing it happened.
We travel frequently, including extended trips abroad, and we have family in and out throughout the year. Our dog,a friendly, lovable lab, is a central part of our household and requires consistent, attentive care.
We already have established support systems in place for routine cleaning and meal preparation, so this opportunity is best suited for a true Household Manager—someone who excels at coordination, oversight, systems, and execution rather than primarily providing direct housekeeping or culinary services.
The successful candidate will act as the operational hub of the household, ensuring projects, vendors, schedules, maintenance, and household logistics are managed proactively and with exceptional attention to detail.
Who We're Looking For
The right person for this role is seasoned, self-directed, and deeply professional. You understand the rhythm of a private home and know how to be helpful without being intrusive. You are the kind of person who notices what needs to be done and does it before anyone has to ask. You do not need to be told twice, and you do not bring problems without solutions. You are warm and personable but clear on appropriate boundaries; you understand that you are a professional in someone else's home, not a member of the household.
You are flexible by nature and understand that schedules in private service can shift. You do not push back when plans change; you adapt and you communicate. You are tech-savvy, organized, and follow through on every detail. You genuinely love animals and would be comfortable being our dog’s primary caregiver during travel. Above all, you bring a "fix it before they find out" mentality to everything you do.
