What You’ll Do

Design, deploy, administer and maintain VMware virtualization platforms and associated enterprise storage infrastructure.

Manage VMware vSphere, vCenter and supporting technologies to ensure high availability, performance and reliability.

Administer enterprise backup storage, file systems and storage platforms, including capacity planning and performance optimization.

Perform firmware upgrades, version upgrades, patching and lifecycle management activities for virtualization and storage environments.

Support and maintain Disaster Recovery environments, including VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) or equivalent DR orchestration technologies.

Participate in VCF 9.0 initiatives including vSAN, NSX and software-defined infrastructure deployments.

Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and architecture diagrams.

Research and evaluate new virtualization, storage and disaster recovery technologies for continuous improvement.
- Participation in Change Management process – submit, review, and implement changes to a production environment.
Key Criteria
- At least 5+ years of hands-on experience administering enterprise VMware environments, including VMware vSphere, vCenter Server, ESXi, and vCloud.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong experience supporting VMware virtualisation technologies, including vSAN and NSX.
- Proven experience managing enterprise storage platforms such as Dell, NetApp, HPE, Pure Storage, or equivalent.
- Strong Windows Server administration experience across enterprise environments.
- Experience with infrastructure automation using Windows PowerShell is highly regarded.
- VMware certification such as VCP, VCAP, or an equivalent industry certification is mandatory.
- Storage certification in Dell, NetApp, HPE, Pure Storage, or an equivalent platform is highly regarded.
Work setup
- Kuala Lumpur (Mid Valley City): Australian hours (6:00 AM – 3:00 PM MYT) Hybrid setup.
