The Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services, is responsible for managing and executing exterior maintenance projects to ensure safe, functional, and compliant facility environments. About the team:
The Exterior Services team is dedicated to maintaining Walmart’s outdoor facilities through expert landscaping, mowing, and upkeep. The team manages projects efficiently while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards and controlling costs. Collaborating with internal and external partners, members deliver quality results, resolve issues, and implement improvements. Emphasizing operational excellence and customer satisfaction, the team applies strong project management and budgeting skills. It fosters a professional environment focused on continuous improvement, policy adherence, and supporting Walmart’s commitment to sustainable, well-maintained facilities.
What you'll do:

• Manage and prioritize exterior facility service projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
• Prepare and execute budgets by developing cost estimates and approving purchases of parts, materials, and equipment.
• Perform seasonal exterior maintenance, including snow and ice management, landscaping, and shopping cart service.
• Operate and inspect heavy machinery and vehicles, ensuring safety compliance and proper maintenance.
• Troubleshoot facility issues and provide technical assistance to support customer service and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with third-party providers and Home Office to standardize equipment and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies and procedures.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience in facility maintenance, including exterior services and seasonal upkeep.
• Ability to operate and inspect heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Skilled in managing budgets, sourcing materials, and approving purchases to control costs.
• Effective project management capabilities, including prioritizing work assignments and completing quality inspections.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to assess and resolve facility-related issues promptly.
• Ability to lead and coach third-party providers and team members to meet performance standards.
• Commitment to upholding company policies, ethics, and integrity in all work activities.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
