Description
Marketing and Social Media Coordinator
Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Marketing and Social Media Coordinator. Our client is a boutique business consulting firm based in the United States that helps small business owners streamline their operations and implement scalable systems for sustainable growth. They are a lean, high-output team that takes ownership of their work and genuinely invests in the brands they build.
This is a fully remote role supporting the Founder directly across LinkedIn, email marketing, and WhatsApp Business. The successful candidate will manage content production across all three channels, using AI tools as a core part of their daily workflow, and will play an active role in shaping how the brand communicates. Working hours will align with US Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and post consistently across the client's personal and organizational LinkedIn pages, engage with comments and direct messages in an on-brand manner, and run cold outreach campaigns
- Write and distribute the client's regular email newsletter, build and manage nurture and outreach email sequences, and track performance metrics to recommend and implement improvements
- Repurpose LinkedIn and newsletter content into WhatsApp Business status posts and maintain a consistent posting rhythm across the channel
- Use AI tools including Claude, Gemini, and Nano Banana to draft and iterate content across all channels, applying brand voice guidelines at the prompting and editing stage to ensure no raw AI output is published
- Own the full "AI draft human polish" workflow, continuously refining prompts and processes to improve content quality and production efficiency over time
- Work directly with the Founder to develop and maintain brand voice guidelines as a living resource, drawing on client call transcripts and notes to generate relevant content ideas
- Monitor LinkedIn engagement and flag conversations or opportunities that warrant the Founder's direct attention
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) as a minimum; a National Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field is advantageous
- Demonstrated experience writing and publishing content in a professional context, whether through employment, freelance work, or maintained personal or business accounts
- Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, or ChatGPT as a regular part of a content production workflow, with the editorial judgment to identify and correct generic or off-brand output
- Hands-on experience with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive) for day-to-day collaboration and organization
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage a content calendar across multiple channels, and deliver consistently without close supervision
- Reliable access to a stable internet connection and a suitable home office setup to support US EST-aligned working hours
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience building or managing email sequences in platforms such as Kit, Mailchimp, Active Campaign, or similar email marketing tools
- Familiarity with LinkedIn as a business and marketing channel, including an understanding of organic reach, engagement practices, and professional outreach
- Experience working with Canva for basic content design and formatting
- Previous exposure to a consulting, professional services, or operational support environment is an advantage
Key Competencies
- Strong communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Professionalism and reliability
