About the role

Join our Queensland People & Culture team and partner with leaders to build capable, high-performing and engaged teams across our store network.

This is a fantastic opportunity to influence people outcomes at both an operational and strategic level, working closely with senior leaders to shape workforce priorities, build leadership capability and drive a positive team culture.

You'll collaborate with leaders and our Centres of Excellence to deliver practical people solutions that support business success.

This role requires regular travel across Queensland and Northern New South Wales stores, so a valid driver's licence is essential.

What's involved

  • Coach and support leaders to build capability and confidence.

  • Partner with senior leaders on people strategy, workforce planning and organisational priorities.

  • Drive talent and succession initiatives across your portfolio.

  • Support employee lifecycle activities and key people programs.

  • Champion diversity, inclusion and team engagement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with specialist teams to deliver positive people outcomes.

About You

You're a relationship-focused HR professional who enjoys partnering with leaders to solve challenges and drive results. You bring sound judgement, a practical approach and the confidence to influence at all levels of the business.

You'll thrive in a collaborative team environment, enjoy working in a fast-paced setting and be passionate about creating positive and inclusive workplace experiences.

What you'll need

  • Proven experience in a HR Business Partner or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of employment and employee relations legislation.

  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing business outcomes.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Ability to balance competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Tertiary qualification in HR, Business, Law, or a related field (preferred).

You’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong.

We love the diversity across our teams, brought together in an inclusive culture guided by our values. We welcome applications from individuals of all ages, cultural backgrounds, abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities. We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to apply and join us in shaping a workplace that celebrates First Nations voices, perspectives, and contributions. Please note, you must be age 15 or over to apply for a role at Bunnings.

We’re all about fairness at Bunnings, and our team’s here to support you every step of the way. If you need any adjustments, just let us know - we’re here to help. If you’ve got the experience, skills, and drive to grow - but don’t quite nail every part of the job description - we still want to hear from you. For support, contact us at [email protected].

Bunnings reserves the right to close job advertisements at any time, so we encourage you to apply early. We do not accept unsolicited resumes from recruitment agencies, as we have a dedicated internal Talent Acquisition team managing all hiring processes.

If you’re ready to have a go, apply today.
