Description
The Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR) is responsible to effectively carry out troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems on Perkins Engine, Generators / be it at workshop or customer site (Fieldwork). To implement major electrical contract repairs, services and maintenance as per project / agreement available. To maximize user satisfaction and acceptance for the Company Parts and services.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect, trouble shoot and trace faults on mechanical and/or electrical systems and components for Perkins engines (Gas & Diesel), generator sets, machine systems and specialized units.
- Conduct inspection and commissioning of new Perkins equipment and complete DSR forms in respect.
- Establish and enlist parts required for assigned jobs and follow up for prompt order and delivery.
- Implement all assigned electrical jobs (including electrolyte preparation and battery charging jobs) promptly, successfully and in accordance with Perkins standards without any redo actions.
- Use appropriate diagnostic tools to evaluate accurate performance of repaired components, units and systems.
- Take proper care of all company’s assets (tools, test equipment, vehicles etc.) entrusted to his care.
- Perform or coordinate certain essential mechanical works, contract servicing and SOS functions as may be required or assigned from time to time.
- Report any difficult task to appropriate authorities for adequate attention and timely resolve.
- Sell the company parts and services products.
- Maintain sales control systems.
- Submit call login reports as per system requires.
- Actively Managed collections, invoices, payments system and the likes.
- Collect, analyze and provide market information i.e Projected customers parts requirement for inventory forecast, Competitive parts reports MEP (Machines and Engine Population) Data.
- Attend other tasks as it shall be assigned by your Supervisor/Manager.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electro Mechanical Engineering.
EXPERIENCE:
- Good experience of carrying major and minor repairs and service maintenance of Perkins Engines and earth moving equipment both at workshop or at customer site.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Good knowledge of Perkins products, services, and operations.
- Ability to keep diligent process and procedures.
- A full understanding on the latest equipment and possessing troubleshooting knowledge and skills.
