Position Overview

The Supply Chain Specialist supports the efficient flow of materials, production planning, customer orders, and deliveries. Working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers, the role ensures accurate order processing, material availability, and on-time delivery while maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person, recent graduates included.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update production schedules in line with demand forecasts, capacity, and material availability
• Raise and monitor purchase orders to support material availability, and report relevant KPIs
• Act as a key point of contact and communicate effectively with customers throughout the order process
• Enter, track and manage customer orders in ERP systems, ensuring timely processing and delivery
• Send order confirmations and proactively provide updates on order status, incl. on any foreseen delays
• Maintain best inventory levels using the MRP [Material Requirements Planning] system and inventory management practices
• Analyse demand forecasts and supply chain data, to optimise planning, and track and report on supply chain KPIs
• Coordinate shipments and prepare documentation in line with applicable incoterms and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with warehouses, transport providers, and external partners
• Monitor automated processes around timely invoicing and delivery of finished goods

Cross-Functional Collaborations

• Coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to track progress and proactively resolve issues
• Work with colleagues in Production, Quality Control, R&D, Finance, and with external suppliers to ensure material and product availability
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation

• Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Good analytical proficiency with the ability to interpret operational data and metrics

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field
• Recent graduates with some relevant work experience are encouraged to apply
• Familiarity with supply chain concepts such as planning, procurement, and logistics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerBi
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal, added to which Dutch is a clear advantage
• Knowledge of MRP [Material Requirements Planning] systems and inventory management principles would be beneficial
