- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at government facilities.
- Perform armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual activity or access issues to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, and other security-related observations.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least two years of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
