Job Summary:

As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for creating a positive and welcoming environment for our patients and visitors. You will be the first point of contact for all patients and will play a crucial role in ensuring their overall experience at our facility is exceptional.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff member
• Schedule appointments and maintain accurate appointment records
• Check-in patients and verify their personal and insurance information
• Collect co-payments and process payments
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area
• Communicate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow
• Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information about our services
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record keeping
• Follow all privacy and confidentiality regulations
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective operations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Proficient in using computer systems and electronic medical records
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism
• Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts if needed
