Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our Absence Customer Success and Partnerships team. The Account Manager will proactively manage a book of business comprised of the customer accounts within ComPsych’s partnerships. This individual will utilize strong relationship management skills and independent judgment to ensure that our services strengthen the overall customer experience.
The Account Manager will ensure that service delivery is flawless, will maximize the opportunities to sell additional service lines, and will contribute to the success of the broader partnership. This individual reports directly to the Customer Success Leader, Partnerships, and works closely with the entire department.
Primary Responsibilities
- Own and manage the overall satisfaction, retention, and account growth of a book of business comprised of the customer accounts within ComPsych’s partnerships
- Meet goals of client retention and account growth by meeting customer satisfaction rating metrics and identifying upsell opportunities
- Develop and manage client relationships, leveraging insight and independent judgment to ensure services delivered strengthen the overall customer experience
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of your customers’ business, human capital, and benefits concerns, and appropriately position ComPsych’s value proposition with beneficial solutions to meet their needs
- Provide project management, communication strategy development, internal staff training, and customer staff training to newly implemented accounts
- Investigate, track, and resolve customer and client concerns, including within multi-stakeholder environments
- Prepare utilization-related analysis and trend reports, and evaluate implementation processes, exercising independent judgment to recommend and drive improvements that enhance efficiency and the client experience
- Contribute to the success of the broader partnership, collaborating cross-functionally with Operations, Compliance, Product, and Sales, and supporting the partnership lead as needed
- Establish and build strong working relationships with ComPsych’s business leaders and team members
- Travel as necessary for mandatory kick-off events or other business needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field required; Master’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of account management experience in a regulated industry required. 3+ years of insurance, benefits, healthcare, or human resources–related account management experience preferred
- Strong experience providing strategic account management to accounts required; experience with large or complex accounts a plus
- Experience supporting partnership, broker, consultant, or channel relationships a big plus
- Proven track record of successfully selling additional service lines to current customers
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
- Project management, critical thinking skills, and strong attention to detail required
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple customer accounts
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite required; CRM experience a plus
- Travel as necessary to meet with new and existing customers (approximately 25%)

- Consistent and reliable high-speed internet and a workspace free from distraction, disruption, or noise is required
- Ability to be present on camera during work-related trainings, meetings, and/or events
- Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for prolonged periods while working on a computer
Compensation and Benefits

- The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 USD plus bonus. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, and scheduled hours.
