Role summary:The Senior Data Analyst will leverage advanced data management, analysis, and visualization techniques to support business decision-making and strategy alignment. This role requires expertise in identifying and validating data sources, ensuring data quality, and applying statistical methods to uncover actionable insights. The position involves collaborating with stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into data-driven solutions, while mentoring team members and promoting best practices in data governance. About the team:
You will join the Performance & Operations team within Walmart’s Last Mile Delivery organization, responsible for ensuring timely deliveries and minimizing cancellations. This team actively manages key operational metrics such as On-Time Delivery and cancellations by analyzing routing, scheduling, driver capacity, and dispatch logic. The team goes beyond monitoring dashboards by implementing improvements, running experiments, and quickly addressing issues to enhance delivery performance. If you are detail-oriented and motivated by measurable operational impact, this team offers the opportunity to influence metrics that leadership tracks regularly and drive meaningful business outcomes.
What you'll do:
- Identify and evaluate data sources aligned with business requirements and service level agreements.
- Perform initial data quality assessments and manage ongoing data quality improvement initiatives.
- Translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions using appropriate analytical methods and tools.
- Develop and deliver clear, insightful data visualizations tailored to various stakeholder needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with business objectives.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Support data governance by promoting standards and best practices across data management processes.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in data management, analysis, and visualization using tools such as Python, R, Tableau, or PowerBI.
- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and experience applying them to solve complex business problems.
- Proficiency in identifying and sourcing data from multiple systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Ability to assess and improve data quality, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data governance standards.
- Experience translating business requirements into actionable data insights aligned with organizational strategy.
- Effective communication skills to present data findings clearly to stakeholders and guide decision-making.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
