NavGurukul is a nonprofit organisation working to create access to aspirational careers for young people from underserved communities. We run residential learning programs and support students through skill development, career preparation, placements, and alumni engagement.

About the Role

As an SOB Associate, you will support the day-to-day execution of the School of Business program. You will work closely with students, mentors, trainers, and internal teams to ensure smooth program delivery, student engagement, learning outcomes, and career readiness.

This role requires someone who is comfortable working closely with young people, coordinating multiple stakeholders, solving problems independently, and working in a fast-paced and mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program & Operations

• Support the planning and execution of SOB programs, sessions, workshops, and activities.
• Coordinate schedules, calendars, sessions, and other program requirements.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the program.
• Maintain program documentation, trackers, and reports.
• Identify operational challenges and proactively work towards solving them.

2. Student Engagement & Support

• Build strong relationships with students and understand their learning and career needs.
• Regularly engage with students and support them in navigating academic and program-related challenges.
• Track student participation, progress, and engagement.
• Facilitate student activities, discussions, and community-building initiatives.
• Escalate sensitive or complex student concerns to the appropriate team.

3. Learning & Facilitation

• Support trainers and mentors in delivering learning sessions.
• Coordinate workshops, guest sessions, projects, and other learning activities.
• Help students with assignments, projects, presentations, and practical learning.
• Collect student feedback and use it to improve program delivery.

4. Career & Placement Support

• Support students in becoming career-ready through CV building, interview preparation, communication, and professional skills.
• Coordinate with the placement team for relevant opportunities.
• Support employer interactions, hiring processes, and placement-related activities.
• Track student career progress and outcomes.

5. Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with internal teams such as People & Culture, Placement, Learning, Operations, and Finance as required.
• Work with external trainers, mentors, industry professionals, and partners.
• Ensure timely communication and follow-ups with relevant stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

• 1–3 years of experience in program management, operations, education, student engagement, community building, HR, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build trust and work effectively with young people.
• Strong ownership and ability to work independently.
• Good coordination and organisational skills.
• Comfortable working with Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and basic digital tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Empathy, patience, and a strong problem-solving mindset.
