Department Overview
This department manages multiple distribution functions including supply chain, logistics planning, distribution center operations, and traffic. Ensures sourcing efforts meet business goals and objectives. Works with functional leaders to perform analysis and identify areas for performance improvement. Manages and supports implementation of strategic initiatives. Manages activities related to global sourcing, supplier selection, product delivery specifications, and quality. Develops and maintains working relationships with global supply chain partners. Designs and implements business metrics to monitor, track, and report sourcing project progress.
Job Description
The Supply Chain Business Optimization role will be responsible but not limited to the following:
1) Executive Support:
- Coordinate meetings, help prepare materials for presentations and strategic reviews, and ensure the LMR SC VP is prepared for engagements.
- Ensure proper Accomplishments & Lessons Learned are included in Supply Chain lessons learned meetings. Attend meetings to present as needed.
- Create LMR Say-Do slides for Supply Chain executive presentation.
- Lead weekly LMR staff meeting.
2) Strategic Planning, Deliverables Oversight & Communication Management:
- Develop the LMR Scorecard, Accomplishments & Lessons Learned & Say-Do slides
- Drive completion of all LMR Lessons Learned actions each quarter.
- Ensure the LMR staff maintains focus on key weekly, monthly, and quarterly management deliverables.
- Develop the agenda and ensure completion of presentations for quarterly LMR Supply Chain Initiatives meetings.
- Plan and execute quarterly face-to-face meetings, including developing the agenda and creating the slide template/content. Ensure all planning details are complete including any extracurricular activities.
- Lead the weekly PCR global sales alignment meeting including the presentation content.
- Coordinate with the Supply Chain Chief of Staff to complete town hall recognition slides on time and in the proper format.
- Provide quarterly SPAN metrics for LMR and Video businesses to the Supply Chain Chief of Staff.
- LMR Intern hiring coordination
- Mentor less experienced associates
3) Special Projects Leadership:
- Lead and manage various special projects for the LMR supply chain. Some past and present examples include:
- Aligned the Business Light Consumer Radio portfolio to a Net Revenue Model.
- Implemented FIFO (First-In, First-Out) at the Elgin Distribution Center (DC).
- Lead the PSD (promise ship date) delivery improvement project and present results at Customer Experience Council meetings.
- Develop Quarterly Product Segmentation and SKU efficiency initiatives including executive level slide presentation.
- Created the business case for the Backlog Management (BMT) solution and participated in its implementation.
- Development of the Supply Chain Business Models Presentation.
- Implemented the Global Process Owner (GPO) model within the Supply Chain.
- Represented Supply Chain during strategy sessions regarding improving customer experiences for Invoicing and non-technical support.
- Documented the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process by business for LMR and Video.
- Developed current Lead Time update process including Tableau analytics development to support lead times.
- Stepped in to lead the Supply Chain Transformation organization.
- End of Quarter functional coverage / on site template coordination.
- Developed 2026 Materials Strategy for Arata
- Developed Acquisition Integration 2030 Vision Strategy
Specific Knowledge & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Planning, Materials Management, or Supply Operations, with direct exposure to complex hardware, electronics, or telecommunications manufacturing,Technical Systems.
- Advanced proficiency in enterprise ERP and planning platforms (Oracle Supply Chain Planning Cloud, Oracle EBS / ASCP).
- Experience with supplier collaboration portals (E2Open MCM / B2B) and reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Certifications: APICS / ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred.
Target Base Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000 USD
