The Opportunity:

Create and deliver timely and accurate information through the web, social media, and other communication channels, with appropriate editorial style and voice. Apply specific functional knowledge, including working or general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide activities of more junior employees.

You Have:

• 3+ years of experience in research, strategic communications, journalism, editorial work, digital content creation, or social media production
• Experience creating short‑form visual content such as reels, carousels, story packages, captioned video, and graphics
• Ability to synthesize complex geopolitical, military, and security topics into clear, accurate, and platform‑friendly content
• Ability to engage professionally and effectively within military environments, including navigating organizational structures, identifying the right points of contact, and working through military systems and processes to gather accurate information
• Ability to manage and maintain active social media platforms, including scheduling, optimizing posts, coordinating content calendars, and adapting content to platform norms
• Ability to display strong editorial judgment, pay strict attention to detail, work under tight deadlines and respond rapidly to emerging priorities, and learn new tools quickly, including social media management tools, basic video or graphics tools, and analytics dashboards
• Ability to track Indo‑Pacific regional stories, trends, and developments and translate them into meaningful content ideas
• Ability to provide digital media portfolio samples or previous work examples
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

• 3+ years of experience with the military or supporting missions within the Indo‑Pacific region
• Experience applying data or platform insights to refine content strategy, messaging, or design decisions
• Experience with social media algorithms or factors influencing visibility and engagement
• Experience working with distributed creative teams or coordinating content inputs across multiple contributors
• Experience with workflow or content tools such as SharePoint, Hootsuite, Canva, Adobe Express, Confluence, Jira, and Maven
• Experience using AI‑enabled tools for ideation, drafting, design assistance, or workflow support
• Possession of excellent writing and research skills
• Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree
• Completion of a Writing and Copyediting Assessment Course

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
