Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Customer Service in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a public transportation environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service to passengers and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to transit passengers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or public agencies as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns according to established procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrols, and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
