Job Highlights:
This position will oversee operations for Pre/Post Op, Endoscopy, and Operating Room (surgery).
Job Summary:
Manages and provides clinical oversight and direction to the clinical service line program for the region. Manages the daily activities of direct reports which includes managing, planning and ensuring coverage for regional locations.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.
- Develops, submits and administers capital, operations and manpower budgets according to financial and organization guidelines.
- Prepares and maintains procedural manuals for department staff..
- Develops program goals and infrastructure to align with defined business strategy.
- Manages program through creating program plans, management tools and reporting capabilities.
- Communicates and documents program quality outcomes and progress metrics.
- Addresses and resolves program issues to ensure goals to remain on track.
- Serves as a resource to referring providers and other teams for care coordination, including direct patient referral to the program.
- Reviews patient's and patient's family health history and other factors that pertain to clinical assessment and provides telephonic and in-person clinical assessment recommendations for screening and surveillance.
- Provides evidence and guidelines-based education regarding patient screening and testing.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE
- Five years' registered nurse experience with demonstrated progressive leadership responsibility
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Rare climbing.
