JOB OVERVIEW :

The Associate Project Manager is responsible for coordinating custom collaboration projects brought to Ambry through business development, clinical collaborations, or other custom business opportunities.

Responsibilities include documenting project initiation through closing, communication with internal and external stakeholders, and monitoring project and sample progress throughout the life cycle of the project. This position provides support to pharma projects and custom collaboration projects that run through the operational teams for successful processing of samples throughout the company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee project management for custom collaboration projects.
• Assist in scoping opportunities and workflow impact analysis for new collaboration opportunities.
• Support interdepartmental coordination of sample receipt through reporting.
• Ensure chain of custody of sample and data is validated and working as intended.
• Collation and storage of documentation records.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE: 

• Bachelor's degree in life or physical science 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

• Excellent customer and service focus
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated success working with a team.  Must be able to influence without authority.
• Demonstrated knowledge of operational/logistical aspects of clinical testing as well as regulatory requirements; GCP.
• Wide application of technical principles, practices, and procedures. Strong understanding of business unit function and cross group dependencies/relationships.

EXPERIENCE: 

• 3+ years of project management experience
• 3+ years of related work experience with a strong understanding of clinical diagnostics, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 2+ years of formal project management experience, leading cross-functional initiatives through the full project lifecycle from initiation to closeout.
• Demonstrated proficiency in digital project management platforms (e.g., Jira, Asana, Monday.com, MS Project, Smartsheet, or Trello) to build project plans, track milestones, and manage team workflows.

$70,000-$85,000 Annually

The expected salary range above is applicable if the role is performed from California and may vary for other locations (Colorado, Illinois, New York). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience. Tempus offers a full range of benefits, which may include incentive compensation, restricted stock units, medical and other benefits depending on the position.
