Position: Logistics & Distribution Manager
Office Location: Vantive Head Office, VicX, North Sydney
Report: Senior Manager, ANZ Cluster Supply Chain
Visa Condition: Must have valid working rights in Australia (Citizen or Permanent Resident)
Job Scope: The Logistics & Distribution Manager is accountable for the performance of local Supply Chain operations, as executed by 3rd Party providers, in both Australia & New Zealand. The scope of role encompasses Warehousing, transportation, inventory control, and reverse logistics. Operating in a healthcare environment with end customers being both Healthcare sites & also via a direct‑to‑patient model, the role requires deep operational expertise, strong stakeholder management, and disciplined cost control to support the Supply Chain P&L performance.
Working as part of the ANZ Supply Chain team, the role works collaboratively to convert the supply chain strategy into effective local execution, ensuring service & financial reliability within the network.
Primary performance is based on Vantive’s outsourced service providers meeting or exceeding our service, quality & cost expectations. Thus building & maintaining strong & effective working relationships is essential to the success of the role & also the direct reports of the role.
Financial Ownership & Cost Optimization
Own cost budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to meet Supply Chain P&L targets.
Drive productivity, cost optimization, and working‑capital improvements while maintaining service, quality, and compliance standards.
Identify and execute continuous improvement projects to deliver sustainable cost savings and operational efficiency.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategy Execution
Execute the cluster supply chain and fulfilment strategy, translating strategic priorities into daily operational execution.
Ensure supply chain capabilities are scalable, compliant, and aligned to current and future business growth, including direct government supply models.
Network, Operations & Service Excellence
Manage planned operations at 3PL Warehouses & ensure alignment with sales targets and service commitments.
Lead scenario planning and risk mitigation for demand variability, supply disruptions, and inbound volume volatility.
Accountable for inventory accuracy, stock availability, expiry management
Oversee management of transportation operations.
Manage goods receipt and goods return processes, ensuring daily reporting, timely discrepancy resolution, and coordination with QA.
Handle customer complaints and ensure timely, effective resolutions to meet customer expectations.
Provide timely customer issue resolution and support commercial priorities.
Act as the operational coordination point for distributors, 3PLs, and 4PL partners: Lead distributor and logistics partner optimization through monthly/quarterly scorecards, KPI reviews, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
Inventory, Quality & Compliance Management
Own inventory analysis and controls include reconciliations, stock counts, and stock accuracy analysis with defined monthly action plans.
Monitor goods receipt and inspection processes and coordinate with QA to resolve quality or compliance issues promptly.
Manage product destruction processes for damaged or expired stock as per approved processes / schedules.
Ensure compliance with any requirements for annual stock takes and/or ongoing cycle counts across all inventory types.
Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Lead, coach, and develop team members, fostering performance driven and continuous improvement culture.
Work cross‑functionally with other Supply Chain Functions (such as planning & Customer Service) to ensure end-to-end execution of objectives is harmonized & optimized.
Collaborate with other functional teams including Commercial, Finance, QA, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and APAC Supply Chain teams to achieve shared business objectives.
Serve as the Logistics & Distribution expert for Australia & New Zealand in key operational, commercial, and planning forums
Qualifications & Experience:
Tertiary qualification with specialization in logistics or supply chain management highly regarded/ preferred.
Experience in a similar role, i.e. Experience with Leading Warehousing & Transport Operations.
Successful track record developing teams/ people & growing capability
Demonstrated capability with building & using effective reporting tools, and ability to present recommendations & results to various stakeholders.
Experience with managing vendors; measuring & monitoring service & financial performance, conducting MBR/QBR sessions, building partnerships, etc.
Knowledge of EHS legislation and operating procedures
Demonstrated success with continuous Improvement projects
Thorough knowledge of end-to-end Supply Chain activities across linehaul, warehousing, and a variety of final mile delivery services.
Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems & ISO9001
Experience of leading operations within the health industry & or other regulated industries highly regarded
