Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Operations in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while responding to security-related concerns with integrity and teamwork. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility customers while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, substations, administrative buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, vehicle, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
