Description
We are seeking an experienced Investment Operations professional to provide subject matter expertise and end-to-end operational support across all Singapore Investment Operations activities. This role serves as a key partner to portfolio managers and investment teams, ensuring the efficient execution, oversight, and control of investment operational processes across multiple asset classes and investment products. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing operational risk, supporting fund launches and client onboarding initiatives, and driving continuous process improvements across the operating model. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with investment, risk, compliance, finance, and service provider teams while contributing to a highly controlled and evolving asset management environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide subject matter expertise and end-to-end operational support across all Singapore Investment Operations activities.
Support portfolio managers with day-to-day investment operational requirements and issue resolution.
Act as the escalation point for operational issues impacting portfolios, investment teams, and clients.
Ensure timely and accurate execution of investment operational processes across multiple asset classes and investment products
Act as escalation point for teams in Hong Kong and Manila who oversee trade lifecycle management, including trade instruction, matching, confirmation, settlement, and exception management.
Liaise with custodians, brokers, counterparties, and internal teams to ensure efficient trade processing.
Maintain oversight of cash management activities and reporting to support portfolio liquidity requirements.
Act as second level reviewer of cash, position, and transaction reconciliation breaks helping to solve complex reconciliation issues and operational discrepancies
Support new fund launches and coordinate onboarding of institutional clients and segregated mandates.
Prepare and review internal and external operational reporting.
Respond to operational queries from internal stakeholders, custodians, General Account teams, auditors, and external partners.
Build and maintain strong working relationships across investment, risk, compliance, finance, and service provider teams.
Maintain a strong operational risk and control framework. Identify operational risks, control gaps, and process vulnerabilities and implement appropriate mitigations.
Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, and control testing activities.
Drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and operating model enhancements and support implementation of new systems, platforms, products, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
Experience working daily using Aladdin platform – strongly preferred.
Extensive experience in Investment Operations, Middle Office, Custody Operations, or Asset Management Operations.
Strong knowledge of investment products, fund structures, and institutional segregated mandates.
Strong understanding of trade lifecycle management, settlement processes, cash management, and reconciliations.
Experience operating within a controlled asset management environment.
Experience managing operational risk, controls, and audit engagements.
Demonstrated ability to support portfolio managers and senior investment stakeholders.
Knowledge of Singapore-domiciled funds and institutional investment structures.
Experience with fund launches, client onboarding, and operational implementation projects.
