As a Tax Services - Indirect Tax and Trade Customs - Specialist you will provide technical support on indirect tax matters, including VAT, GST, sales tax, and trade customs, while helping clients navigate tax planning, compliance, and strategy. As a Specialist you will handle detailed work, conduct in-depth analysis, apply professional tax standards, and contribute specialized knowledge within our Tax Services practice. In this role at PwC Mexico, you will support client engagements, gather information from multiple sources, identify patterns, and help deliver work that supports indirect tax and trade customs projects.
Responsibilities
- Advising clients on indirect tax planning, compliance, and strategy across VAT, GST, sales tax, and customs matters
- Conducting detailed research on indirect tax regulations and applying findings to client-specific issues and transactions
- Preparing tax calculations, returns, documentation, and working papers to support compliance and reporting needs
- Reviewing customs valuation, tariffs, and brokerage information to identify exposure and support accurate filings
- Analyzing tax data and transaction flows to identify risks, trends, and process improvement opportunities
- Supporting indirect tax controversy, dispute resolution, and documentation requests through organized case preparation
- Utilizing tax technology and digital tooling to streamline compliance work and improve accuracy
- Coordinating with internal tax specialists to deliver timely input on client projects and technical questions
What You Must Have
- Bachelor's degree is not required
- At least 5 years of experience
- Intermediate proficiency in English is required
