Job Title: Senior Accountant
Compensation (Based on experience and qualifications)
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Corporate Controller to manage and maintain our accounting management information. This includes developing manual/automated accounting applications, participating in month-end close activities, and reconciling various general ledger and liability account balances to ensure their accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in month-end close activities, including preparation of monthly/standard journal entries, review of allocations and estimates, and correction of errors. Assists in the preparation of monthly internal financial statements and related reports.
- Participates in maintaining federal ledger, including preparing financial schedules and writing journal entries for such items as interest income, prepaid insurance.
- Maintains chart of accounts.
- Maintains amortization schedules for mortgages, etc.
- Assists independent auditors with year-end audits and assists in verifying accuracy of reports. Prepares required audit work and reports.
- Maintain monthly bank reconciliations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- A minimum of five (5) years or more experience in accounting
- Knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles, including internal control, cost accounting and taxes.
- Knowledge of computer information systems and spreadsheets to present financial information.
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- A minimum of five (5) years or more experience in accounting
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
- Ability to maintain effective and professional relationships with patients and other members of the care team.
